Limited Edition Handplane - 'Roots'

The first in a new line of bodysurfing handplanes with limited edition artwork!

This swallow tail features some custom art by us here at Thirdshade, we call it 'Roots'. The image is laser-etched on and then numbered and signed on the bottom. 
More to come in the future as we finalise collaboration with other artists...

Carbon meets cork...

Here's the finished carbon fibre shooter...exposed cork deck so she's waxless forever...super strong, super light and supersonic. Needless to say she's turning heads in the village. Ride report to follow!

Techno, techno, techno...Carbon composite

All gone a bit rocket science in the thirdshade den of iniquity ..all about vacuum bagging composites....and there's plenty more exotic fabrics planned for the next build...keep an out for the astral journey space cadets...

Just scrolling through a few images and this one reminded me that Spring is well and truly just around the corner... can't wait to loose that hood again...me in the thick of it on a 7'10" singlefin at our beloved reef in Porthleven. (photo courtesy of Ben Selway)

Carbontastic fish in the mix...

Spent the past week here shaping this little performance fish for Porthleven local Dai Lawton...here you can see the first stage in a full carbon build - carbon rails installed ready for a full carbon wrap in the vacuum bag. Man she's gonna be strong, light and goddamn stiff...more to follow!
